The Holy Ghost's Pursuit

Your relationship with the Holy Spirit did not start at salvation or at the baptism of the Holy Ghost. In this second message, Pastor Aaron Turner shows that the Spirit has been pursuing you since before you were born.

He reviews the Trinity and the three parts of a person—body, soul (mind, will, and emotions), and spirit—then explains why the natural man cannot receive the things of God. The devil blinds, but God who said “Let there be light” shines into hearts so people can see their need for Christ.

Jesus promised “another Comforter” of the exact same kind: the Paraclete who both encourages and corrects. The Spirit convicts of sin (a belief issue), righteousness (because Jesus is no longer physically present), and coming judgment. At the resurrection Jesus breathed on the disciples the same way God breathed life into Adam—they were born again.

The proof is change you can see, like wind you cannot see. Even after salvation the Spirit keeps working until we finally let go of what we used to hold. This message prepares the way for the power that comes with the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
