The Holy Ghost's Role in Salvation

Why does anyone need to be saved? In this opening message of "The Role of the Holy Ghost" series, Pastor Aaron Turner uses the picture of a drowning man to show that we need a Savior because our eternal soul is in danger. He walks through the three parts of a person—body, soul, and spirit—and explains that we are born spiritually dead, blinded by the god of this world, until God shines the light of the gospel into our hearts.

The lesson then traces the Holy Spirit’s work from the moment we take our first breath. The Father draws, the Son draws, and the Spirit convicts of sin, righteousness, and judgment. Pastor Turner unpacks justification, sanctification, and glorification, showing that the Comforter is “another” exactly like Jesus—guiding us into all truth, giving us a new heart, and keeping us saved.

This is not only about the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It is about the Spirit who has been pursuing you your entire life. Listen and discover how deeply involved He already is.
